The Best Burger Joint in a Gas Station
In November 2014, Taystee’s Burgers sprouted its first location inside a gas station in Dearborn, MI, just outside the city of Detroit. Serving halal versions of classic, tasty American food caught on fast. Within no time, word spread about the hand-cut fries and creative signature burgers—most notably, “Ali’s Notch-Yo-Burger.” Taystee’s Burgers has since acquired a large, loyal customer base and even more locations: Dearborn Heights in October 2019, and Ann Arbor in September 2022. Founder Ali Jawad plans to continue expanding Taystee’s, opening new locations throughout the metro Detroit area!
